A Reality Check

In the “Beyond the Five Stages of Grief” book series, we set out on a meaningful and illuminating trip through the complex and frequently misunderstood terrain of sorrow. While the five stages of grief are well-known, this book series delves deeper, illuminating the multifaceted nature of the grieving process. The workbook takes it a step forward with practical self-care strategies, journaling and other activities to help you better navigate your grief.

Grief is an emotion that transcends conventional boundaries, and this book series explores it in all of its forms. These books remind us that grief isn't limited to losing a loved one, it extends to losing dreams, relationships, and the very essence of our identity.

Sharing Our Souls with Kare

Sharing Our Souls (S.O.S.) with KARE Ministries was founded by Minister Charles and Chaplain Isis Jenkins in 2021. They started a grief support ministry when they saw the need at their home church in Elgin, South Carolina. The ministry took a life of its own and it expanded into the local community and the surrounding areas with plans to take it further.

Minister Charles Jenkins is a retired Airman, he served 21 years in the United States Air Force. He then went on to serve as an Officer with the South Carolina Bureau of Protective Service. Charles has an MBA in Human Resource Management and a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Justice Studies. He is a Notary Republic for the state of South Carolina.

Chaplain Isis Jenkins worked as a Manufacturing Supervisor for over 12 years, before she followed her calling as an Ordained Minister. She currently works as a Chaplain in one of the local hospitals. Isis has a Master of Arts in Chaplaincy, a Post Graduate degree in Short Term Pastoral Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She is also a Notary Republic for the state of South Carolina.

The couple has four adult children and one grandchild, whom they are helping to raise. They have a heart, passion, and love for helping people who are grieving, struggling, or hurting. They currently still serve their local church with a Care Ministry.
